A 1941 interceptor, their first collaboration

Mikoyan and Guryevich are probably the best know designers in Russia today. Their bureau has produced a number of fighter aircraft. The MiG Bureau started in WW2 with he MiG 3 interceptor and hit its stride with the JET AGE producing a number of jet fighter aircraft including he MiG 15 which fought in Korea against F 86 Sabres and the ubiquitious MiG 21 which served in nearly 50 airforces. Their lastest is the MiG 29, an air superiority fighter. Mikoyan and Guryevich died in he 70's but to honour hem, their names remain associated with the design bureau they founded.

The "Loaf of Bread" ---- well that refers to a comment from Stalin to some aircraft factory managers about their inability to produce IL 2 Stormoviks. The Stormovik, Stalin said, is as essential to the Red Army as air and ------. I've reproduced the telegam in the text, its funny as well as deadly serious!

Plans include the MiG 3, 9, 21 and 29 as well as the Stormovik.

The jet aircraft are bilingual, they speak both rubber and Rapier motors. Remember to keep the planes light and use the most powerful jet motor you find.

Book is organized like the others. It is 80 pages with 10 drawings on CAD 11 X 17.
