Some Things to Share

I am always interested in sharing things I have learned the hard way and getting info.

Send me an email if there is anything you would like to share or discuss .

Issue 1  Box Structure

Building a sturdy box.  Instead of building the two sides then joining them with x pieces, build the two side and top and bottom as separate frames. Now join these frames with a former at the front and the back to form a square. You now need to add a stringer the length of the box to solidify and tie the fouer sides together.  once this has been done you will have an iron structure. I used this for Cloud Tramp II sand have hade my rubber band explode taking out half of the structure.  The frame held together just fine.  To repair strip tissue and repace damaged structure.

Issue  2  Forward Sweep

For Mighty Mousetang a forward sweep mustang I put on lots of dihedral in the wings with wash out on he tips.  How much is enough?  watch which wing falls off and add more to getthat wing to generate more lift.  balances at LE for a 8 to 10 degree forward sweep.
